Project Director Bio: Greg Hitzhusen, now a member of the faculty of the OSU School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR), was co-creator and national director of the National Wildlife Federation’s NatureLink program, and most recently served as the Land Stewardship Specialist for the National Council of Churches, where he provided environmental stewardship outreach to faith communities around the country. He has a B.S. in ecology (Cornell ’92), an MDiv concentrating in ecotheology (Yale ’99), and a PhD in faith-based environmental education (Cornell ’06). Dr. Hitzhusen previously worked for the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, and has taught courses at Yale Divinity School and Wesley Theological Seminary on Outdoor Environmental Ministries and on the Church and the Ecological Crisis, and at Cornell University in Environmental Ethics and Environmental Writing. He lives with his wife and two sons in Columbus.
